Question on Vonage & Cox Telephone Service

Really getting fed up with Ma Bell and her exorbitant rates. Thinking about going to Cox or Vonage for my wired phone service.

Anyone have either of these that would care to comment on the pros and cons of the two. We have phones everywhere in our home plus we have two lines.
