I remember that when republican Frank Keating was Governor we spent quite a bit of our state revenue building new correctional facilities. I thought then, "prisons are about crime and crime is a issue that is owned by the republicans".

I remembered that when Sheriff Glanz has to run for election, it is a partisan race and he runs as a republican. I remember looking up Police Chief Dave Been's voting records during the spring elections for Mayor and seeing he was also registered as a republican.

When both candidates for District Attorney were republicans and no democrat even filed, I thought it was more of a coincidence.

Then I read in the paper that every single candidate for a judgeship in elections this past Tuesday were registered republican as well.

Wow.

In Tulsa, every known leader who deals with crime from running the jail, leading the police or sheriff's department, deciding what cases to prosecute or running for judge was a republican.

Is this more than a coincidence? Do democrats try to stay away from this career?

I am not looking for a bunch of political insults here, but real answers. What gives?
Power is nothing till you use it.
