I sure we can all agree that this is something Brad Henry should sign into law.I do wonder who the two rats are in the Oklahoma senate that voted against Jessica's law bill. Now we got a minimum sentence for the first offense and the death penalty(or life in prison) for the second child molestation/rape offense.

The Oklahoma Senate has given final legislative approval to a bill requiring a minimum 25-year prison sentence for anyone convicted of a sex offense against a child under 12 years old.
The vote was 45-2 on Thursday for legislation modeled after "Jessica's Law,

The Oklahoma House passed legislation Wednesday that would increase prison sentences for sex offenders who abuse children.

The measure, approved 99-0, would increase the penalty for sex offenses against children under 12 to a minimum sentence of 25 years. No minimum sentence currently exists for the offenses.

Wow, that's relatively more lenient than they deserve, because in my book, it should call for the death penalty.

It was apparently ruled unconstitutional by a California judge, appointed by Clinton. Info on Judge Illston

Her holding doesn't apply in this jurisdiction.

I agree but it is a hell lot better than what they do with child molesters/rapist in Vermont. He is child rapist sympathizer judge who tried to give a child rapist only 60
days in jail, only after being tarred and feathered in the conservative media did he change it to the minimum which is still a slap on the wrist. The sad part is we have to enact laws so that scum on the bench do not give these child molesting rapist scum a slap on the wrist.

I am sure some of you are have heard of judge Edward Cashman.

There was outrage Wednesday when a Vermont judge handed out a 60-day jail sentence to a man who raped a little girl many, many times over a four-year span starting when she was seven.

The judge said he no longer believes in punishment and is more concerned about rehabilitation.

Judge Edward Cashman of Vermont changed the sentence of Mark Hulett, for molesting a 7-year-old girl for 4 years, from 60 days to 3-10 years. Still a ridiculous sentence. Mark Hulett will more than likely get out on parole in 3 years. His sentence will not even be as long as he molested the 7-year-old girl for and the sentence of a life of psychological damage he has given her.

Who cares what some closet child molesters or some child molester sympathizer in California says.
