Does anyone know what is happening and when here?  I am not seeing a website anymore and have called realtor with no return call on status.  I know it was originally going to be built as townhomes etc but did not know if there has been a change of plans.

Is this Brookeside? If so, there is some development happening around 33rd on the west side of Peoria.

mlofts, I saw your sign in front of a Yorktown cottage. Are you removing that house?

mlofts

No its a remodel we did and its just about complete...should be open daily for walk throughs, its for sale.
The property Im talking about is behind Pei Wei and Starbucks.

CP,

The development happening on 33 is office.  Enterline is putting up some decent office condos that will kind of front the street.

I heard recently that Eastbrooke was still on but couldn't get to Jim Glass when I saw him and I couldn't find an active permit.  Who knows...I would like to see them go up though.  They would add a nice dimension to Brookside.

Are they made with better materials than the Metro Lofts?

OK - give me a break.  Better materials??  Stucco and cement board?  This is what is required in Houston and the units are braced for 135 m/hr winds - Tulsa requires 80!!  Hardy cement board lasts period, thats why we use it...no moisture problems, no wetahering, costs more than its counterparts, etc.  I am assuming you do not like hardy bc of the siding look,  I had the same problem in the beginning.  Sorry for snapping but I have heard this comment and its ok if you do not like the look, but please do not act like you have done any research on the material.

It's pretty hallow stuff, I'm more a fan of getting buildings in my neighborhood that will stand the test of time. [;)]

Yeah like concrete. Used to live near this building, did wonders for the neighbourhood, trust me.

Legos in that quantity are hard to get post-katrina.

Cement board and stucco will likely last longer than any of us.

Mid town needs more mansions like this. This I feel is a classic design for a home.
