If you were building a transit system, say a train system from the ground up, which one would be more important: A) Covering as much ground as possible, or B) Provide a reliable utilitarian service to the most people as possible?

How about A) Making the least money possible, or B) Making the most money possible?

There's a reason why we don't have buses that go by the Lynn Lane reservoir.  No one wants that ride, it's a waste of a bus.  So what if 91st and Memorial has a bus run by it, if no one finds it useful?

We've set the standard too low.  We decided to define "service" as whether or not a bus runs near any given area.  As opposed to defining "service" by whether or not the line is useful and beneficial to the general population in that area.

Run the same amount of buses, make the coverage area smaller, and preferably tie it to demographics and density.  Sorry Far East Tulsa, Far South Tulsa, Far North Tulsa, there's not enough density to maintain the primary routes.  BUT, good news....

Look into Express routes and Park-N-Rides as a way to shorten travel times from the farther reaches of Tulsa.  An hour plus trip, and a transfer or two, from 71st and Memorial to Downtown makes no sense, a 20 minute trip from a Park-N-Ride is far more useful.  With 3 buses, that route would hit it's stops about every 20 minutes, no more 45 minutes to an hour plus waits.

Get rid of the 33rd and Memorial station, and stop acting like we have to cover the entire City.  Stop acting as if we actually ARE covering the entire City.  Act as if we're literally trying to make the MTTA bus system self-sustaining.
