Nice article in the Tulsa World this morning on Gailard Sartain's Mayfest poster.

Our own humble "The Artist" is painting the mural on the south wall of the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Gailard was great last night at the poster unveiling.

When they took off the cover to "unveil" his painting, he shrieked in horror (and in a very high-pitched voice) and said "That's not the painting I did."

We were all cracking up.

If "TheArtist" ever changes his name like Prince did, what would we call him?

Great job.  I made sure to point out to my boss today that I "knewish" the guy that did the painting. I'll probably get a poster for my office and look forward to seeing it as a mural.

Officially its "William The Artist" lol.

It started when I would call clients and say "Hello this is William" which was often followed by a silence, then I would say "William The Artist" and they would go Oooh.  Then several clients started teasingly saying stuff like, Hello Mr William The Artist.  So I decided to just go with it.  Changed the website to (WilliamTheArtist.com), company name, business cards, etc. its easy , it works, and people remember it lol.

BTW not actually starting the mural until Friday, wanting to make sure its not going to get washed away before it has time to dry.[8D]

I understand, I'm "the computer guy" a lot.

I finally put that on a hard hat.
