The Oklahoma Department of Labor announced plans Wednesday for a new water park inspection program. Inspections could start as early as next month. The plan came about as a result of a recent slide collapse at Tulsa's Big Splash water park. An 11-year-old Broken Arrow girl was inside the Master Blaster ride at the time, but was not hurt.

The Department of Labor inspects amusement park rides, but until now has not been responsible for water parks.

Yes, those Carnies.  Small hands, smell like cabbage.  Same folk.

So wait, Jerry Murphy gives money to Randi Miller, then gets the exclusivity to all rides at the fair with no competition, she ousts bells and keeps the murphy's water park that pays low rent and possibly in worse shape than bells?

I'm turning into altruismsuffers...

Bell's rides were reported to be unsafe.  I don't know this to be the case.  I've never been on a ride there.  I've also read or was told that Robby refused to fix the rides for code.  I don't know this to be true; I was not in the conversation.  These are the main reasons I would hope Bells was told to vacate.

The Murphy's having a no bid contract once again?  That does seem sketchy.  I'm not sure how that all worked out.

I have a tendency to see conspiracy but I try to hold that back...that and my toaster's been laughing at me.

I'm pleased that the water park is being inspected by a state controlled entity rather than "self inspected" by a park employee.  If it's going to exist for the public, please make it safe...including the water used in the park.

The Murphy's are the problem alright, pure carny waste.

The same ones who run the fair rides?

Yes, and Townsend said it accurately: "Small hands, smell like cabbage. Same folk."

I think slimey rot could be added to the description as well.
