Bloomberg/Powell 08 or Powell/Bloomberg 08?

A purty nice dream ticket would be Bloomberg/Powell, no?

Bloomberg needs to figure out what he is first.  I think Powell is done with public office, besides too many people see him as an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the WOT.

From IMAO.us:

"I discovered that there might be a just a bit of competition if I decided to run for President one day as an Independant. So I converted to a party that, hopefully, will offer less competition: The Ferengis." [}:)]

I like a Fred Thompson/Condie Rice ticket: "The thespian and the lesbian".  At least I've heard that rumored about her on TN.

Wow, what is more scary to the majority of voters - Condi or Hillary?  Both are highly successful, educated, and intelligent people with an incredible drive.  Both are frightening as both female specimens (Hillary because she tries to hard and ends up looking scary, Condi because she looks scary) and as potential leaders.

Either one of those women could beat me to death before breakfast.

I'm of the theory that one should typically run for the Presidency only after either 2 full terms in the Senate, 6 full terms in the House, or 2 full terms as Governor of their state. Condi should go back to Cali, run for the House or Senate or Governor, and then later on throw her hat in the ring if that is so important for her. Hilary, well, she has at least one term in the Senate and working on the next, but threw her hat in. Well, what's done is done, let's see what happens.

The Senate is depicted as being more out of touch with the constituency than the HOR.  And after seeing what is happening with the immigration bill, I couldn't agree more.

I'd rather see more reps, govs, and mayors of large cities run, they seem to be more in touch with reality and what the average American is demanding.

There wasn't anything on the FM band I wanted to listen to in my truck as I was running around town last night, so I listened to Hannity on KRMG.  It was that or complete silence, I just can't listen to Laura Ingram, her voice is too butch for me.

He had Trent Lott on and Lott proved what an out-of-touch boob he really is when talking about immigration.  He repeated he has no idea why the fence for which there is money in the account is not being built- it's not his problem.  He was saying, in effect, to every question Hannity asked him, that 300mm Americans are out of touch with what 100 people in the Senate want. Laura Ingraham, I have yet to figure out. For me, it's not about a "Butch Factor," quite the contrary; I've no doubt that she's all woman. But what I find off-putting is her demonstated disregard of the facts; her penchant for catty remarks and innuendo as a substitute for rational examination of the issues and ideas of the day, and her consistent smearing of those who dare to question the neoconservative agenda. For someone who attended Dartnmouth and the University of Virginia Law Shool, she doesn't seem to demonstrate the intellectual pedigree that is associated with alumni of those fine institutions. She instead comes off as little better than her colleagues Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin, who tend to emote rather than opine.

Condi would run into the same problems with GOP base supporters that Powell would run into: pro-choice.  But she would have the added burden of having royally screwed up our national security as NSA, done nothing as SecState.

When Ronald Reagan was in office he was introducing Colin Powell to some gathering and said that Powell was someone he (Reagan) would like to visit someday at 1600 Penn Avenue.'  I would like to see that clip make it out of the dustbin.

Bloomberg is hailed as an excellent Mayor, but he needs to explain why the Freedom Tower has gone nowhere under his leadership.

Laura Ingram is sharp as a tack, but her nasally goosey voice is hard to listen to.  She was on that scumbag O'Reilly's show during the Rosie/Trump flap and confronted him and Fox's penchant for showing Miss USA in her skimpies over and over again.  O'Really just ignored it.  I literally jumped up and cheered her.

Malkin and Coulter do nothing but attack whatever hot-button 'liberal' issue du-juor, and rarely propose what their freaked-out version of conservatism is for.

So I am leaning for Powell/Bloomie 08.

I'd love to hear what a shrink would say about those two.
