Daycare for a week?

My son's summer program ended on Friday.  The one I signed up for this week was canceled (I was out of town until this AM [northwest managed to lose my luggage on a direct flight ffs], so it came as news to me when I tried to drop him off this AM).

Anyway, any suggestions of places that might work for the rest of the week?

I don't care if he's drawing, practicing karate, or staring at a wall at this point.  I'm in a bind.

We did the westside YMCA last week. They accept on a week by week basis.

Waterworks Studio does summer art camps -- they're really good and the kids have an art show at the end. Check the Tulsa Parks website.

I looked into the art ones:  ages 8-14. Plus, Tulsa Parks are done with their sessions for the year.  Most are, even though school doesnt start until Monday.  But thanks for trying!!!  I figured it wouldnt be a big deal, but it is turning into one.

Keep 'em comin'!  There is bound to be one I over looked.  If you have multiples: I live in midtown, my son is 7...

Today was Mom bring your son to work day.  Tomorrow may be Dad...  after that the dogs might watch him.  Argh!

That was my thought too.  I'm calling a few of them, still have *some* hopes.  No luck thus far.  I was hoping for the "hey, I run a daycare and..."  I could be lucky, right?

I tried to threaten my kids and told them I was taking them to a pawnshop for a week. They were going to have to sit in a warehouse for seven days with a little tag tied to their foot.


They knew I was bluffing.

Smart-donkey kids now a-days always seem to call such bluffs.  When I was a kid, either I was dumber or the threats were more real, because I would have at least considered it a possibility!

WOOT. Found one.  I am no longer a delinquent father.  At least, not in this respect.

It might be, but at this point I was desperate!

and a little hard labor never killed anyone.  Well, except those poor bastards in the Philippine death march.  And people in the concentration camps.  Oh, and crab fishermen get killed every year working hard.  Coal miners.  

Well, ok.  hard work CAN kill people.  But its unlikely.  He's young.

Transportation including Truck, Taxi and Airplane pilots.  

In ratio to number of people performing a job to fatalities the logging industry scores the highest.  

At one time Convenience Store clerks made the list.
