A 2.5 mile loop Family Fun Run & Walk, "Run for Our River," is planned for THIS Sunday, Oct. 7, at the River West Festival Park, 2100 S. Jackson. Starting time is 4 p.m.

The run's course will loop from River West Festival Park, across the 11th Street
bridge, up the east side of Riverside Drive to the 21st Street bridge, returning to River
West Festival Park.

Participants can pre-register online at http://ourriveryes.com/fun-run/ or at 3 p.m. Oct. 7. at the starting point.

The first 300 registrants will receive a free t-shirt.

QuikTrip, Center 1 Market, and River Parks Friends are sponsoring the event.
