Here's a demonstration of the "Moth Effect"

Most living things have a wired-in instinct that draw them to light.
Humans are also attracted to changes in intensity and color, and the draw is magnified when one is drunk, drugged or drowsy.

...but the very thing that commercial establishments use as advertising tools can end up being pretty bad for cops, firemen and paramedics, as the video shows:
