Remember?

Randi got into the race because it looked like Mr. Medlock had a decent chance of knocking off the safe candidate of the local power establishment, the disappointing GOP incumbent Mayor Bill MisFortunate.

I know it is hard for a Bear to have any comprehension. Put down the honey pot and read closely.

Chris Medlock had no chance to win the Mayor's race. Randi Miller did not run for Mayor just to be a spoiler for Chris Medlock. Not everything is a conspiracy from the "good old boys".

I think that honey has turned to mead.

Yup. Medlock couldn't break more than 40 percent in the mayor's race. Or any other race, for that matter, after 2004.

It's hard to win any election when you keep sh*tting in your own nest.

It's also hard to win over people when you have the maturity of a five-year-old.

Just ask Gwen Freeman.

Randy Miller was entered as a "Spoiler" in the 2006 GOP Mayoral primary.

She entered late because a coven of our local power establishment got a bit worried that Mad-Dog Medlock might, just MIGHT knock off safe Establishment selection Mayor 3$Bill MisFortunate.

Medlock certainly wasn't a shoo-in.  But, he had a decent chance of winning the GOP mayoral primary.

With Miller entered as a SPOILER, that split Medlock's base, and LAFORTUNE won with a whopping 41% of the GOP vote, and became a certified Dead Man Walking (politically).

RecycleMichael

Randi Miller split Medlock's base?

What a crock. What base was that, bear?

Power is nothing till you use it.

Occasionally Bear, you make some sense. But you lose credibility when you attack using what amounts to, lies. Some prefer to call it half truth, some prefer spin, some prefer to call it perception, but you will say anything to put down your beloved oligarchy and tax vampires. Where would you be without them?

What part of the river are you referring to? The part the rowing crew has used for 30 years? The part that flows out of Keystone lake for 10miles to Sand Springs where no industrial or runoff issues exist?
Please refer to the health department studies that show the water is not suitable for primary contact? (hint: there are none).

You're so good at informing us all of the "real" story and how the public is always hoodwinked. Why don't you tell us the real story about the signs warning against primary contact and why they were installed?

You don't have to denigrate Miller and everything she was involved in just to destroy her re-election bid. The way you go on one wonders if she may have refused you pool privileges.[;)]

WHAT lies?  Name ONE.

It was admitted by the promoters of the Kaiser River Tax that only SECONDARY contact with Arkansas River Water was recommended.

NO Swimming!  No bathing!

A few drops splashed on your skins from froth and foam:  Okay.

Nothing more.

As to Karen Keith or Mrs. Bell being for River Development = RIVER TAXES, I'll cross that Proverbial bridge when we arrive there.

I do know that during the Di-Vision 2025 Sales Tax Grab Promotion, Ms. Karen Keith was one of our tax-payer supported mouthpieces promoting this new Billion Dollar Tax.  "Assistant to Mayor LaFortunate".

On the City Payroll, with the job of PROMOTING passage of higher taxes.

What a deal!

With her local TV newscaster background, I'm sure she'd be equally happy promoting a new River Sales Tax, her County Commissioner candidacy, or VIGO dog food with equal fervor and vigor.

"Vigo Dog Food: Vigor for YOUR dog!"

[:D]

Here's the deal.. You answer my questions, I'll answer yours. I asked you 4 questions and you preferred to associate the Kaiser group as admitting something that could be read on an old sign by the west bank boat ramp which only means the Kaiser group can read River Parks signs.

Apparently you're only interested in the truth when it matches your opinions and beliefs. You imply the water is dangerous for contact because of the signs. It implies that there is testing to back that up. Where is it? Details might be nice as to location, type, source and toxicity. I'm sure the rowing crew would like to know.

Here is the truth as I know it. The sign doesn't say No Swimming. It refers to the danger of being in waters that:

1. Are not tested regularly by authorities for bacterial safety. Curiously, neither is Keystone Lake, Skiatook or hundreds of other bodies of water throughout the state. There are a few govt. testers travelling the state and some volunteers working for non profits, but there efforts would hardly justify swimming anywhere.

2. Do not have lifeguards. Again neither do swimming areas on any of the lakes and rivers of Ok.

3. Do not have rescue vehicles readily available. There are a few locally housed at firestations but they usually only recover dead bodies. Nice big red boat though with exciting lights and stuff. If the water is high enough they use the new bananna boat and tow it out for rescue. That is if you can hold on long enough.

4. Are not insured against death or injury other than the taxpayers pockets. Only if these few, meaningless signs are posted, can the RPA, the county and the city defend themselves against someone who decides to sue because 1-3 are deficient. Remember the kiddie playground that killed the little ones a few years ago? They aren't going to get caught again.

And lastly, ever notice that these signs are not all over the Arkansas river or on other rivers and lakes? They didn't care if the bush people swam in it, they don't care if the homeless jump in it outside of the view of others. The last thing cosmopolite Tulsa wants is dirty little street urchins, homeless, and the lower classes swimming out in public exposing us to ridicule and lawsuits. It has the dual effect of keeping others from safely useing the river for a variety of purposes. This is an effort to keep the public from safely using its own assets. Something I would have thought you would strongly question.

I always obey signs posted by the Goobermint.

Like,

"No Parking".

"No Swimming".

"No trespassing on the American Eagle nesting sites".  A Federal Offense.

Of course.

The standard Discriminatory Goobermint Ursine advisory:

"Do NOT Feed the Bears".

Followed a few weeks later by a friendly Bear holding a hand-lettered sign:

"Send more Tourists; the last ones were DELICIOUS!)
