The value of the glass bottles just barely pays the hauling costs. I take a load down to Henryetta every month for crushing and the check I get is about the same as the check I write the driver.

Over 20 years I have about broke even on glass. But I do it because it keeps my workers employed, my customers want me to, and it creates jobs in Oklahoma glass industry.

How about jars, like pickles, etc.  Clear glass, but usually with labels.  Do the labels affect it?  I would expect them to just burn off during the first melt....

Wow!  Sitting here in one of the remote housing units, and the spring gunfire seems to have started up early!  Maybe New Years is being celebrated early....

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Jars are great. I bet most of the clear glass we get is pickle or salsa jars. Labels are no problem.
