9. Perini (controlled by financier Richard Blum) is one of the more controversial companies to have scored big-time Iraq war money. That's because Blum's wife, Senator Dianne Feinstein, appears to have used her seat on the Military Construction Appropriations subcomittee to steer the $650 million environmental cleanup deal in his favor. This has lead to outrage and cries for conflict of interest investigations among those in the media, as well as Feinstein's peers in Congress. Feinstein has also neglected to comment on this potential conflict of interest. This has lead to what Metroactive.com calls an "omission [that] has called her ethical standards into question."

Feinstein needs to go.

The "25" list has nothing to do with those companies being vicious nor profiteers in the negative connotation utilized.   They are automatically guilty by working with the US Department of defense.   They even have some of the companies dead out wrong: Perini did specialized base construction (medical bunkers, specifically).

Show me companies that have encouraged more wars (a la military industrial complex conspiracies), have ill gotten contracts (a la haliburton conspiracy) or over charged (as several companies have been busted for doing so).

The spending concerns me, but it is not a negative reflection on a company merely for being in the industry.  One one of them is and explosives and hazardous waste clean up company.  DAMN THEM for disposing of land mines, aged shells, and other munitions.  Stupid profiteers.

I'm sure there could be a  good list, but this isn't it.  It doesn't even include those kids who were buying surplus ammo and passing it off to the Iraqis as new.  Just a random list of companies doing business with the US Military.
