Linens-N-Things is going out of business.  Signs were placed on building today.

Is it just that one or is it all of them? Bankruptcy
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.

All are closing.  The Tulsa one will too.

Cubs

wow .... you really drug up an old post

Cubs

oh and if that was supposed to be some sort of slam against Owasso, the Owasso store was one of their best performing stores

but yes .... ALL of them are going out of business, even the one in TULSA

By no means was it a slam against Owasso...just relaying the news.  It is sad that a good store had to close.  Owasso will have no problem filling the nearly 30,000 SF building.

Owasso is a great community and has seen good growth over the last 5 years.  I do not live in Owasso but I think it is a wonderful place for people.

I hung out with my son last night in Owasso, we ate at some burrito place that was pretty good. It was the old Tekkei's spot.

I was shocked at how fast the new center was being built next to the soon to be open Olive Garden. Anyone know what's going into that strip? I heard J.C. Penny's was coming to Owasso. Maybe that's the home for it.

You ate at Baja Jack's Burrito Shack.  I've been there twice.  Think of it as mid-way between say, Taco Bueno and a real restaurant.  The food is good and plentiful.  As I stood in line, two guys behind me were discussing what to get.

"I'm gonna have a burrito and nachos," the first one said.

His buddy replied, "Get one or the other.  You won't be able to eat both.  This isn't Taco Bueno!"

Prices are reasonable, most in the 5-6 dollar range.

As for the huge building just north of there, it's the new Penney's.  I expect it will put Belk out of business.

May you live in interesting times.

Why can Belk not take the competition from Penney's?

Everyone knows that Penney's is the evil overlord where you can get $20 shirts on sale for $3.50.

Belk, Penney, and Kohls all sell pretty much the same merchandise, with Belk being at the high end of the pricing.
