Mr. Obama has a great deal of class.  That's the trait I really admire about him.  Unfortunately many of his followers do not.  So he has issued this statement.

Politico's Carrie Budoff Brown reports: At a press avail in Monroe, Mich., Barack Obama on Palin: "Back off these kinds of stories."

"I have said before and I will repeat again: People's families are off limits," Obama said. "And people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. So I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You
know my mother had me when she was 18 and how a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn't be a topic of our politics."

On charges that his campaign has stoked the story via liberal blogs:

"I am offended by that statement. There is no evidence at all that any of this involved us," he said. "Our people were not involved in any way in this, and they will not be. And if I thought there was somebody in my campaign who was involved in something like that, they would be fired."

Question: Is your goal to help him or hurt your candidate?

This goes for both sides.  Liberal and Conservative nutjobs.

+1 for Obama.

When attacked by a mob of clowns, always go for the juggler.

My parents were vacationing in Europe when I was born. So my aunt gave birth to me.

Too bad McCain's camp didn't heed the same about Obama's wife during the whole 'patriotism' scandal.  He'd be well within his rights to hammer this home, but he's taking the high road.

Michelle Obama said what she said.  Possibly she misspoke. Possibly

She has been actively campaigning for him, nonetheless.

The children are OFF-limits.

The Obamas should be cautioned however, against their young children listening to Rap Music.

It will poison their immature minds just as badly as Reverand Wright's rants.

Wright?  Right.

Should we make a referral to the Illinois DHS for possible child abuse?

Pardon the aside but did anyone else notice that in addition to everything else, Cindy McCain showed up at the convention with a new hairdo last night and it was a disaster.  The Republicans seem to be suffering through a slew of bad luck anyway and then this happens.  I mean there's nothing quite as bad as a bad hair day.

Cindy's outfit was a poor choice too.  That pointy collar was all wrong.

Now, back to things that matter like nutjobs in high office.

Obama is a class act. Too bad the McBush-Quayle-lin team is not as classy. If they can find something on Obama's family, they won't wait a nano-second to use it! The devil agrees that when the re-THUG-licans were able to ACT like humans, this would have been off limits. However, since they are acting like (and have) acted like atilla - they should be treated as the barbarians they are. Obama needs to learn that no subject is untouchable when it comes to beating a repiglican. And he needs to learn in a hurry, because if they find something on him or Biden, or anybody from their families, they will use it in the most painful way to derail Obama's quest for the White House. And this devil will no longer insist the repiglicans issue an official apology to the Clinton family, and Pres. Clinton in particular, for dragging him through the impeachment process for his marital infidelity.

Keep saying, publically, every chance you get, "My campaign will not stoop to that level. We will not talk about all of Palin's personal scandals. Her dysfunctional family is not an issue in the campaign."

There's a photo with this article.  She should know better than trying a new do before it is fully netted.

Feh. It's just a variation of the already-staid helmet hair she was sporting. No big deal.

At least she doesn't look like Jimmy Johnson.

Or, Hillary..........

joiei

Her outfit was probably some very very very expensive european designer piece that cost a ton of money.  As for the hair, I would guess a $500 do happening there.  And no telling how much those shoes she was wearing cost, they looked like at least a 3 3/4 inch heel.  This lady definitley does not dress Walmart.
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.

Well she could have done better at Walmart.  The bangs and turned up collar were the problem.  I've actually been favorably impressed with her get ups and hairdos but last night was a big mistake.  Which reminds me, I never thought of Lady Bird as one to put on the Ritz but I saw saw her in this shimmering silver and white gown the night she and Lyndon entertained the Shah of Iran and that woman was gorgeous.

You're voting for the best HAIRDO for President?

Issues.....

Character......

Competence......
