One more thing... TulsaMINI - so long as Blue Moon is a 3.2 product and not full strength, it will only have limited engagements on draught. Please don't boo us, we're simply trying to provide the best selection we can - Hoegaarden is the beer Blue Moon tries to imitate, send me your e-mail address and I'll buy you a pint, it's an exquisite beer.

Met a friend earlier this week for a drink at the 'Nel and remembered the Hoegaarden recommendation. They were out.

So I had a Guinness.

Check out marshallbrewing.mobi and visit the Beer Locator. They offer updated info on where to find the beer on draft in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The .mobi sites are designed for mobile phones and load particularly fast.

Wow. Any word on when the real website will be up and running?

Had an Old Pavilion Pilsner at McNellie's pub yesterday, I think I have a new favorite. To me it tastes like a light beer with a bit of, what I would consider a pleasant, refreshing bite.  Such a bite that it stays with you for at least fifteen minutes after you leave the pub.  They also had Sundown in stock again I was happy to find out.  The bartender said they had Old Pavilion for like a month and a half now, but I am pretty sure I didn't see it there a week and a half ago.

That site mentioned a couple posts ago is quite nice, I hope the Old Pavilion Pilsner can get listed there soon so I can see the interesting tap artwork like the others.

Speaking of McNellie's beers, I was shocked to find Budweiser's "American Ale" on tap there.  Usually he shuns the crappy big-name beers (at least when it comes to tap space), so I figured I'd give it a shot.

The reason I was curious was because the beer was obviously created as a knee-jerk attempt to keep appealing to people who buy their beer based on patriotism rather than taste, since Bud was just bought out by Belgians.  (Bud was the last of the humongous breweries to be American-owned.)

It tasted like nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  No initial rush of flavor, no aftertaste, nothing.  It was like water with red food coloring in it.  Appropriate that their empty attempt at pandering is flavorless.

Ah well, I'm one beer closer to hitting #200 and earning my name on the wall.

Very impressive. The Wall of Foam is a great honor.
