Indeed.

Great Dr Who episode btw.

You carbon-based forms just crack me up.
Power is nothing till you use it.

I missed a few episodes, plan to watch them on Hulu, but there seems to be three possible "fifth cylons." Even if they say Person X is the fifth, it's still possible that it is person Y or Z. There is nothing to say that models have not been added, as well.

Given the twists the writers have tossed at us viewers, I'd be very hesitant to presume they're giving away further plot developments.  Frankly, I'm surprised at the direction the show has taken after finding Earth - and landing in what appears to be Newark.

I think I have to agree with Ed W.  Trying to predict this thing has become basically impossible.  So, it's really everyone's duty to make predictions!!

The Matrix ending (they're all in a computer, dreaming up some never ending cycle)
Baltar is "the dying leader", Rosalyn is not. (I'm leaning toward this right now, with little evidence)
Admiral Adama is "the dying leader."
They're all cylons.
They all die.
They're all dead. (Casper appears, and he's not terribly friendly)
They will discover the nature of the "one true God".
Baltar is a Hybrid
Kara is a Hybrid
They find the real "Earth."
Kara destroyed Earth.
Cylons destroyed Earth.
Humans destroyed Earth.
More than one Earth exists.
Baltar is a 6.
Baltar has no meaningful role in the last few episodes.
Humans and their allies find a home.  A couple thousand years later, the cylons invade.

The first episode of the new season, smashed pretty much every assumption I had on who could and could not be a cylon.

Been throwing myself back into the first two seasons.  Too many half-naked cylons to ignore.

I went into the new season believing that there were a few rules about the "final five".  The biggest rule was there was only one copy of each.  That pretty much eliminated everyone who had died during the series, since the assumption was all five would eventually appear, alive.

First episode of season 4.5 destroyed all of that.  I'm crushed, yet, optimistic.

After season one, this turned into such a women's soap opera that I stopped watching it. Every character needed to be on prozac or something. There were no normal people to follow story lines for.

The "Razor" movie was okay (about another chic who needed depression medication), but thats the last I've seen of this show.

What happened when they discovered Earth? I thought that was supposed to be the end. Let me guess... the Earth is barren?

IF thats the case, how original. [V]

I hate spoilers almost as much as I hate Ellen Tigh, therefore I hate this show.

Given the circumstances of BSG and it's fleet, when did you expect Mary Tyler Moore to appear?  I'm grateful to no end, that Dirk Benedict isn't in this show.

Seriously though, despite BSG's following and reviews, it is not for everyone.

It's unclear whether or not they discovered "Earth".  Whether or not they discovered, or will discover "Earth", or will discover multiple "Earths", I'm not even sure the series ends there.  The way the mythology has played out, I'm doubtful.

I'm pretty sure they won't be discovering the late 1970's.

I think I want one of these:

'cause it does this:

However, She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed would not be as easily amused as I am.  Maybe she's the final Cylon.  They all seem to be humor-deprived.

I do have to chime in here with my 2 cents of sci-fi nerdiness lol. I think BSG is the best sci-fi series to come along in a looooooong time, if not the best ever just for its uniquiness and creativity. The first season was the best, second still better than most sci-fi, this last one... well its still entertaining and I am enjoying watching it. But that first season rocked. The acting was spot on and many times startlingly blunt, the cinemetography was unlike any sci-fi show I have ever seen, the story lines, sudden plot twists and turns, would just throw you for a loop. It was just as much action/drama/thriller as sci-fi. I have never watched a sci-fi series where you would jump up out of your seat and go "what the frack! just happened there?! that doesn't happen in sci-fi shows?!" lol.

My assistant HATES sci-fi. I would tell him about this new show and he would just give me the old "sci-fi geek, snort/laugh" and make fun of me lol. Then one of his friends had it on and he watched it, now he is hooked.  I think a lot of people are missing out on a killer show simply because its listed as "sci-fi".

Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

Agreed.

I've always liked Star Wars, but I haven't been into any other "sci-fi" series.  Trek is ok sometimes, didn't watch much Babylon 5, don't watch Stargate.  Firefly was a solid series, just short lived.  Always thought the first Battlestar back in the late 70s was a fairly solid concept, but a typically poor series (I have those on DVD).  The new Doctor Who;  That's a strong sci-fi series, especially if you start from the beginning and watch them in order.

I think I've come to the conclusion that the re-imagined BSG beats Star Wars.  The characters in Star Wars were never really deep.  Star Wars was more about tech, and the Jedi story-arc.  BSG has character depth almost to a fault, and the story-arcs are so complicated you can't really predict the fine details.  And as an added "sci-fi" bonus, BSG's tech is built on the same "realism"-principle of the original Star Wars movies.

I'm going back through the 3rd season now.  3rd season seems more solid the second time.

Looking forward to the prequel, "Caprica."
