Would you allow him to put his trash in your trash can? There is a cost of service to collect trash or recycling.

The cost of trash for most Tulsans is $13.44 per month ($161.28 per year). It is not always twice-a-week (holidays, weather problems, etc.) so the average is about 90 annual trash pickups for an average of $1.80 per trip to your curb.

The charge for twice-a-month recycling collection in Tulsa is $2.00 for an average of $1.00 per trip to your curb.

What boggles my mind is that no one complains about the trash price or expects it to be free yet I hear constant complaints about having to pay for recycling curbside service.

Tell him (and everybody on your block) to get his own bin.
