Bad bad officiating. Did OU look bad against OSU or was the officiating just pathetic. Anyone catch the last 2.8 seconds? Score keepers sure didn't.

Heard the conf. was jerking around patrons trying to get single game extra tickets all day Wens.

Bush league.

I'm an OU homer so of course I thought the officiating was horrible.  I absolutely hate it when a ref calls something at the very end of a game when there is a mad scramble over a loose ball unless it is absolutely blatant and visible.  They often end up determining the outcome of a game -- I don't care who's playing, I hate when that happens.  Of course, I'm pissed because OU shouldn't have even been in that position.  Their guard play is rediculously poor!

I'll take time away from my busy busy schedule as a part-time Florida Gators/Tim Tebow Fan to say....

Ha!

Go Pokes!

What was up with the very end of the game?  The OU player throws the ball to B Griffin, he dribbles, misses, and another guy gets a rebound and misses.  The clock started somewhere around the time the second player shot (I don't know any of the names of the OU players except the Griffins.)

And to Neptune: booo hiss!!!

Of course, if OU fans really want to complain about the refs then they should be pissed that they missed the OBVIOUS travel when OU called their last timeout.  The fact is OU should have beat OSU by 15 in Oklahoma City.  OU never really looked into the game or excited to be there.  OSU got into the game because it guaranteed them a birth . . . OU was playing for a long shot 1 seed that doesn't really matter anyway (1, 2 . . . whatever).

I know basketball can sometimes be confusing.  The first step you need to follow to not foul in the last 3.4 seconds is to block the ball not the hand.  Or maybe don't get both your hands on the shoots arm.

1) I was referring to the player coming down to half court with about 24 seconds to go.  He picks the ball and and makes a "T" as he continues to talk towards the OU bench.  That is a travel.  You do not have a timeout until the officials blow the whistle and he took 8 steps before that happen.  He took at least 4 steps before he even made the "T" sign.

So if you want to be nit picky about the officiating, OU should have lost before the play you complain about ever happened.

3:25 mark of the video, 26 seconds left in the game.

2) I agree that it was a weak foul with <10 seconds left.  But in spite of his hand hitting the ball his shoulder/body hit the OSU player (your pictures don't show the prior body contact or the other player being sent flying).  There was contact with #4 after he knocked the other guy to the floor.

Weak foul I agree. But . . .

3) So what?  If OU had come out and actually played with some heart they would have been up by 15 at that point.  OU played like crap and the result reflects that. I'd be more upset with my team for playing down to OSU than for that ticky tack foul.

I wasn't commenting on your comments.  The 3.4s foul actually wasn't "weak".  I was wonder how Anderson could barely get the ball above the rim.  After pausing it, I figured it out.  I don't understand why basketball refs turn to football rules the last 30 seconds of the game.  It is basically a severe handicap for the other team.  I am also pissed off by the "tackle" the player on the floor with the ball and tie it up for a jump ball.  That is a foul....  Basketball is some kind of basketball football hybrid now.

All this discussion ignores the fact that OU hasn't been playing good basketball for a couple of weeks now. And if you play bad basketball, bad things have a tendency to happen.

As an OSU homer I enjoyed the out come of the game.   ;D
Trust but verify

Can the coach call Time Out? Looked like someone did right before that but you can't tell from a replay. The refs were inconsistent at the end of the game from the non call atmosphere throughout the game. The Cowboys did nothing against Mizzou. (Go Mike Anderson!)

Considering the Sooners have fallen quickly from the pre Blake concussion, they are toast. BG's waiting for that 25 mil contract.

Isn't this a great country?

Coach can call a time out.

Mizzou will go a couple rounds in the tournament.  Their style is normally what does Big 12 teams in, foul on every play, bump the ball hander on every break.  Assuming they don't get refs that call fouls they should do well.  I think OU will win 2 games and OSU will win 1.  Mizzou could win 2 or 3, I will say 3 (without seeing who they play)

FOTD

OSU is in place to play the #1 seed. Played better against Tenn than score indicates.

Travis Ford seems to be a really good coach.

Will they be giant killers?

Go Cowboys. Beat Pitt.

Renaissance

Uh, Pitt's gotta handle E. Tenn. first . . .  :o
