Count me in! District 4.

Let me say that I will give a small donation to any candidate who will post their thoughts about any relevent issue this summer.

Thanks for accepting the challenge. What is the issue and what do you think?

Although the candidate questionnaires have consummed much time and energy, I have thoroughly appreciated the wide range of questions asked. I have particularly enjoyed the Chamber of Tulsa questionnaire.

Something relevant. The concept of the council - manager form of government. Granted I have only done preliminary research on the topic. What struck me - 1) Cities above a certain population (Tulsa would fall into this category) use the council - manager form almost exclusively 2) These cities are financially okay.

As was pointed out - the city charter would permit the hiring of a city manager now. I haven't investigated that claim.

I would enjoy responses. What are the pitfalls, the pros and cons, the practicality of considering a change in government form?
