Tulsa is fortunate, blessed, to have such quiet generosity. Imagine if Tulsa wasn't so fortunate.

This community support continues to go beyond the pale....and no mention for 3 days here at TNF....is TNF becoming meaningless?

Let me be the first then. Thank you, Kaiser Foundation, for your efforts to help charitable operations. Truly, without the benevolence of those who have been given much, we would be a harder place to live. Your implication is that Mr. Kaiser or the Kaiser foundation NEED to be thanked for their efforts by TN posters. I hope not. I'd rather believe he/they did so out of sincere efforts to help others whether we approved or not.

As far as TNN relevance? Its been slipping for awhile imo. Too much ideology, too much animosity. It is a microcosm of the city though. ftp://

TulsaNow Forums have spurts of activity, especially around local elections, but are far from meaningless.

I do give you some of the blame, FOTD. You are constantly posting insults and poorly thought out attacks on other posters. That kind of infantile behavior turns off many of the people we want to read and post on this forum.

There are many good things about TulsaNow Forum. We have some of the best informed and connected members of the community here. We have one of the best local websites to learn about development and local issues.
Power is nothing till you use it.

+1

It's no secret I am a huge supporter of our service men and women, and whenever I see them in restaurants/clubs in uniform I always offer to buy them something to show my appreciation. Last weekend I saw four of them at a restaurant and offered to buy them a drink, which they wisely refused as they were on duty. I was a little embarrassed when they thanked me for the offer. Point is, I think people give because its what they want to do, not what they expect/demand in return.
Someone get Hoss a pacifier.
