Passed away last night at 81

The always feisty Roscoe Turner is dead. The former City of Tulsa Boiler Inspector turned City Councilor was 81.

Turner served four terms as the District Three Councilor. He often traded terms with political rival David Patrick. Turner apparently suffered a heart attack yesterday afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital where he died last night.

Services are pending.

He seemed a lot more down to earth than most of his counterparts.  When we talked streetlights, he was not only listening but very much into the physical aspects and the mechanical how-to.  He's going to be missed by a lot of people.
