House Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt (D-S.C.) said the alternative would be the “functional equivalent” (or fictional equivalent) of a full-fledged budget. But because it won't be a traditional budget resolution, it will be silent on future deficits, which are expected to average nearly $1 trillion for the next decade.

The new concept will also avoid existing PAYGO rules, allowing Democrats the freedom to continue funding of such things as Nancy Pelosi's new $18,000 a month office.  It's super green.

So, why is the rent so high if it's so energy efficient?  Gee, it couldn't be that capital equipment costs frequently far exceed actual cost savings on utility bills, now could it?

And go easy on the old bag, Gaspar.  The apologists will be here any second to A) scold me for referring to the SOTH as an old bag, and to B) remind you this is only .0000000000001% of the federal budget so it's of no concern. 

The problem is, multiple .0000000000001%'s of the budget add up to billions and billions in unnecessary expenditures of tax payer funds and new debt every single day.

I remember the good old days when they were screaming "Who's going to pay for this war for oil?"

Now we pay for fluff and failure as oil laps our shores.

We were going to "usher in a new age of fiscal responsibility"  and "drain the swamp." 

Now we are going to figure out a way to re-name budget so we can skirt the rules.  This whole administration could be a Michael Moore movie.  I think we've found the weapons of mass destruction.

The people who voted these clowns into office must be at least a little upset.  Come on!
