While Michael Steel and Joe Biden don't look at all alike, they tend to shoot their mouths off in similar ways and you never see the two of them together.  I wonder if.....

"Republicans are furious with RNC Chairman Michael Steele, who was caught on camera saying that the war in Afghanistan is a doomed effort launched by President Obama. Steele has no shortage of enemies in the GOP and many of them sense an opportunity here. In fact, several, both privately and publicly, are saying this is the last straw: Steele should resign."

Now, I'm not so certain he should resign over this.  After all, it's an established fact that everything that goes badly is either Obama's fault or Clinton's fault.  Maybe Steel simply misspoke and meant to pin it all on Clinton.  Yeah, that's probably it.

May you live in interesting times.

I'm pretty sure the rank and file are more upset about him declaring the war in Afghanistan unwinnable.

At this point, expending too much thought on Afghanistan is a waste of effort. We need to be thinking about Pakistan and what's going to happen to it if the Taliban regain full control of Afghanistan.
