Before Townsend asks, "Uhhhhh, what's your point?", my point is where are the freakin outraged anti-war, Code Pinko folks chasing Obama around?

Maybe Code Pink doesn't object to Afghanistan.

we vs us

Turns out I was wrong.  Code Pink doesn't like Afghanistan either.  Looks like they're still relatively active, though getting less of the publicity they did during Bush II.  Could it be because the media has turned to other things?

Oh, and also the President hasn't specifically mentioned them as enemies of the troops.  That also helps.

Likely because this was the war we SHOULD have been fighting all along, and not regime-changing/finishing-what-daddy-didn't in Iraq.

Anyone remember THIS quote from 2001?

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

Now, from the same president, in 2002..

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02

Guess after six months, he got tired and needed to rest.

???

I was out there screaming about this in '02 when Bush was sending people over trying to find WMD,  Then he sent poor Colin Powell to the UN with fabricated stories of mobile WMD trailers trying to ramp up our invasion in Iraq.  We lost sight of the ball then.  So while it's nice to try and pin the losses on Obama, and he does share in that because of the troop increase, it's likely because we let the Taliban back into Pakistan/Afghanistan that we had to have the troop increase in the first place.

Meanwhile, where's bin Laden?  We ramp up the Iraq invasion, and we capture Hussein in 9 months.  We've been looking for this jackass for nearly 10 years now.

Clinton should have pulled the trigger when he had the chance.
