I have posted a reply under a different header. I would appreciate direct questions rather than disinformation being posted.

Thank you

Quite simply - because that is the proper heading.

A year after failing to oust a sometimes controversial member of the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, County Commissioner Karen Keith has chosen not to reappoint that member to a second term.

Elizabeth Wright, who was appointed by Keith’s predecessor in April 2008, is scheduled to participate in her last meeting Wednesday.

Wright's replacement will be Ryon Stirling.

From the TW article:
Stirling, 35, graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2007 with a master’s degree in architecture urban studies.

Since 2009, Stirling has taught social studies, U.S. government and current events in Sand Springs Public Schools.

I like the fact that he has an urban design background.  He was involved in several OU Urban Design Studio projects: the Tracy Park / Gunboat Park Neighborhood Plan and the Midtown Tulsa Redux ..anybody have any scoop?

Midtown Tulsa Redux: http://tulsagrad.ou.edu/studio/reduxweb/midtowntulsaredux.pdf

He also did research on neighborhood associations: http://tulsagrad.ou.edu/studio/neighbor/NeighborhoodAssociationPDFcompositeFinal2.pdf

I'm impressed.  Doesn't sound like he's a flak for the developers, at least not on the surface.

After seeing first hand the work going on at the OU design studio where my daughter is studying, I'm very impressed with the program.

I do kinda have a problem with the fact Ryon Stirling doesn't live anywhere in the jurisdiction of the TMAPC, however.

Removes the supposed conflict of interest issues like they had with Liz Wright.

all he has to do is live or work inside the county since he is a county appointee.  it is a grand grasping of straws for sure though....and I seriously doubt west tulsa county will be any more represented than before despite Karen keith's claims otherwise.
