I photographed this fire extinguisher cabinet at St Johns last month.  Is that Art Deco or Art Nouveau?  I was just taken with the artistry displayed on such a mundane object as a cabinet door.

It's not a good photo, I know, and I'm thinking about going down there to re-shoot it.

Definitely Deco.  Didn't know they had any deco in there.

Btw, wrote a little blurb for the DECOPOLIS websites Architecture Gallery that some might enjoy. Will still have to similarly flesh out rest of the galleries.  This website will forever be in a constant state up upgrading lol.

I think I noticed it because it just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the design.  The cabinet is located in a hallway running west from the main lobby toward Utica.  I'm wondering if it came from the oldest part of the complex, so that's one reason to take another trip down there.

Also, TW had a story a few days ago on abandoned buildings in Oklahoma.  It came from a website http://www.abandonedok.com/

Does one of the downtown walking tours cover Tulsa's Art Deco?  If not, one should.
