Hey everyone, my daughter attends the little lighthouse and has Autism, currently her teacher is suggesting that we get her an IPAD for some special apps that help her communicate.

If anyone knows of anyone who would like to help with a donation or has an IPAD 1 or has one they might consider selling (doesn't have to be high end) its going to just be used at her school with her therapists it can be donated directly to the school under her name or we would be paying for it personally when we can.

The Little Lighthouse would like to get Ipads for more students if you would like to donate directly to them in a students name or a money donation to the school which can go toward either the purchase or the IPAD can go right to that child.

Message me if you have any direct personal questions.

I've seen iPad 1's for $300, which is $200 below MSRP.

I'm afraid you would have better luck getting a grant to buy them than finding individual donors.

I would also check with your church and the Rotary Club. I appreciate that you came to this forum with your request. Oh, and I am a huge fan of the Little Lighthouse and frequently donate there.
Someone get Hoss a pacifier.

I found an article from Network of Care for Developmental Disabilities
tarrant.tx.networkofcare.org about a program called KinderKids in Tarrant Co. Texas.

They may be able to point you in the right direction. Apparently there are tons of apps for special needs children.
