"Announced this month, the EPA's proposal would require three of Oklahoma's oldest coal-fired power plants to switch to cleaner-burning natural gas or install technology to reduce regional air pollution."

And then there's this:

NSF clears Mann of misconduct implications made by Sen. Inhofe (updated)

I wonder how much taxpayer money was spent doing this needless investigation. Shouldn't Inhofe have to reimburse us taxpayers? Following the investigation, Inhofe is the dumbest person ever to hold a seat in the senate. Prior to the investigation, Inhofe was the dumbest person ever to hold a seat in the senate.

I'm sure not anywhere close to the $535 mm we dumped into Solyndra.

I have no problem with the gov't wanting to support alt energy.  In the case of solar, there's no reason to subsidize it, just tariff the smile out of foreign competition and companies like Solyndra could make good on their loans. Instead of raising tax revenue and protecting 1100 American jobs in the process, we basically shat $535mm down a wormhole of what amounts to temporary construction jobs to build a plant and what turned out to be temporary jobs building the solar equipment for a few years.  No wonder the economy is going nowhere.
