Spent my weekend in Kansas City.  It has ten times the character Dallas has.  My favorite spot there has to be the River Market District.  I managed to even find fresh morels at the farmer's market.  ;D

Still not sure what the whole attraction is of the Power & Light district.  Seems to be a lot of contrived development that people complain about in West ELM or Hicktown in OKShitty.

IMO KC is a far superior metro to DFW.  Much more character and east coast charm vs the oil bidness frontier smarm of Dallas.

The first I saw the P&L District I didn't care for it.  However, the second time I visited I actually got it.  There is a fair number of local establishments within in the district and it is planned very well.

MC and I plan to take our bikes next visit.  My old room mate and his son live up near the junction of 169 & 152.  We figured we could make a day of it riding down to the airline museum (I did not see the Connie or Martin 404 on the airport apron like they used to be), over to River Market, up to P & L, over to the Plaza, around a few of the neighborhoods then back out to Troy's place.  Should be a really good ride.  I can't think of a better way to see a city.
