There is now a free iPhone app where you can view some of the photos in the Beryl Ford collections. You can download it from the app store by searching on "Tulsa Then and Now". It was developed by a volunteer group called the "Tulsa Web Devs". It's a fun app for those who like Tulsa History.

This is a great app.  It will show you pictures close to your current location.  Very cool idea.

They did a great job. Have you seen how you can take the "Then and Now" pictures? You can pull up the picture in your location, then push the button with three arrows, then select "Then & Now". That opens your phone's camera to take a picture of the location as it looks today. You can also lineup your shot better by pressing the "Overlay" button which overlays the camera view with the historic photo so you can get a better comparison shot. Then you can post the before and after pictures to you Facebook, or Email or Tweet them.

Snark spotted.  Android apps take a little longer to deploy due to the degree of WIN in them.

;D

And to be fair:

Actually there are some quite hilarious images if you Google: "Apple eats android"  That or try "Android pisses on Apple"

Who knew car brand pride of our teens would eventually be replaced by computer camp pride? ;)
