Anyone know what is happening on 1st St around Kenosha Ave? There is a construction fence on the north side of 1st and they are pouring concrete.

Sounds like they are constructing something.

Oh, ok. I didn't want to jump to any conclusions.

Whatever they are doing appears to have a foundation poured for two buildings. One small one in the NE corner and a larger (3X) one just to the south of it.

I saw that too. I'm really curious about what this is and why it's slipped through everyone's radar. Wonder if it has somethigng to do with the railroad?

Looked up the permit info. Here's what I've got:

Address: 10 S. Iroquois Ave.
Permit Applicant: Douglas Heinrichs, AIA & T&P Office Building/Main
Permit Issued: 11/21/2011

Highlights from the letters sent requiring attention:
-Skylights included in floorplan
-Locker rooms
-Plans included sod parking areas; has to be "all-weather" material

A building, an accessory building and a canopy of some sort are mentioned.

Other than that, I don't know. Can't find blueprints or the actual plans submitted on the City's website.
Change never happened because people were happy with the status quo.
