we aren't doing this within the IDL? I still do not understand why this was denied 2025 funding:

Downtown sees wisdom of free Wi-Fi investment

The City of Burbank, CA (pop. 100,300), in May launched free wireless Internet access in the downtown. Downtown Burbank's Wi-Fi hotspot will eventually span about one square mile, and include every downtown street, sidewalk, bench, cafe, office, and retail store in the 34-block district.

Downtown Burbank's Wi-Fi hotspot is funded with $35,404 from the city's Redevelopment Agency in partnership with Downtown Burbank Partnership Inc., a property-based Business Improvement District, which contributed $7,767, and the city's Information Technology Division, which contributed $6,194.

Such a small risk for such a small investment to yeild such a great public benefit. It is such a shame that our leaders just don't get it. If this is not a inexpensive "quality of life" improvement that would get people downtown, I don't know what it would take to qualify.

BTW, does anyone at the Tulsa Now forum remember Russel Claus saying that Oklahoma City was looking at doing this? I guess OKC will stay ahead of the curve, leaving Tulsa behind, once again. It's getting really embarrassing, folks.
