Curious how BurnCo compares to Franklin's in Austin.  That's the only other BBQ place I know of the line is out the building and around the block.  Anyone here ever eat at Franklin's or Mueller's in ATX?

I have been to Franklin's in Austin. It was damn good.

I have eaten at Franklin (no s) recently. Very good brisket, but Burn Co. has better ribs.

Franklin stuff is moist and has a good bark, but Burn Co. has really perfected the seasoning and char characteristics. I think that Burn Co. has a lot more bold flavor.

As for brisket, Franklin has some of the best I've ever had.  Long slow cook renders almost all of the fat and the meat is super juicy. Don't care for his sauce though.  Franklin Ribs are about like OK Joe's.  Tasty, but nothing to write home about.

We decided to wait until later this week when we can go super early.   DH was in  wreck yesterday and wasn't moving very quickly today!   Stinks to get your hopes up for it and have to wait!  Their ribs are the best I've ever had.
