No.

She was a reporter for the Tulsa World. She met great people and told their stories.

Dan Allen was such a guy. His work as a poor priest in north Tulsa was legendary. Not only did he start Neighbor for Neighbor, he also started the Oklahoma Food bank.

She wrote stories in the 1970s about flooding and the victims, then dedicated her life to making Tulsa safe from floods.

She just loves to write a good story that matters. Her latest book is her best about a guy who promoted hate.

Wonder if the Catholics are looking at making him a saint?   Disclaimer;  I know nothing about the process or requirements, but he was certainly what I would think of as a good candidate for it.

And looking at her page about him, I had forgotten all about the car repair co-op!!  Thanks for reminding me, Ann!!

And WOW!!  Looking at the book review, then a story about Madge.  It took Madge's rape and murder before Klanner's had enough and most quit?  In spite of the fact that this is what they were all about regarding black people!   Wonder what made them change their minds?  Oh,...wait...I remember!  Madge was white.

Now look what you did, Michael !  Now I gotta read two books!!

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

To be a Saint you have to have performed at least one proven miracle I believe.  I heard stories about what he did & I think they were close to miracles.  I like the thought of him being a Saint.
I ran from OK about 50-yrs. ago & in 2010 I saw downtown's potential.

Tulsa's in a Phoenix rise, reason enough to stick around.

Besides... you can't fully be an Okie except in Oklahoma.

I think from just what I know of him from working there early on, he would qualify as much as anyone....
