Here's a fun article series by the Tulsa World:

Only spoiler alert is there apparently never was a handshake agreement between QT and the OKC 7-11 franchisee.

Others explored:

Gold hidden at Turkey Mountain and near Chandler Park; McFarlin Library; Did high school tapes of Barry Sanders "disappear" before other schools could scout him?; Was the 1959 OU Nortwestern game rigged?; The downtown tunnel system, etc.

I always heard it was between Love's and QT...heard that back in the late 60's - early 70's...

Whatever the reason, something has kept them away - something other than market forces and business economics - that blathering about so much stuff going on in San Antonio or where ever, etc is just blah, blah, blah...  OKC is a big enough market to more than justify going there.  And logistically, makes more sense to have gone there decades ago rather than St. Louis!  The "no agreement" of some sort IS the urban myth!

They didn't even mention the one about the alligator in the pond at the back of 'Ma-Hu' ranch!!  Across from Oertle's...

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.
