QuoteMajor League Fishing has leased office space for its first Tulsa-based headquarters and is expanding its workforce by about 50 new jobs in the Tulsa area.

It will work in a 17,805-square-foot area in the Corporate Woods office building, 4500 S. 129th E. Avenue. This will be the first office space in the Tulsa market entirely housing Major League Fishing employees exclusively.

The group previously shared a space with its production company, Winnercomm.

Major League Fishing recently expanded from a staff of 20 producing the No. 1 show on the Outdoor Channel to add the Pro Bass Tour, a newly formed professional bass fishing league made up of 80 of the world's best anglers.

"Major League Fishing opted for this space for a variety of reasons," Mary Martin, first vice president at CBRE in Tulsa, said in a statement. "Not only is it a prime location with easy access to all of Tulsa's major corridors, but it offers Major League Fishing plenty of space to accommodate the company's rapid growth. Jim Wilburn is president and CEO of Major League Fishing.

"We are very excited for Major League Fishing to have its own permanent Tulsa presence," he said in a statement. "The Tulsa area has so much to offer, both to our employees and our anglers, that it only made sense to open our own headquarters in town.

"This location at Corporate Woods was the perfect fit, as it not only meets our needs but allows us to conveniently be in the same building as our production company, Winnercomm, Inc., where MLF has been for the last seven years."

Major League Fishing began occupying this space on Nov. 1."

This is pretty cool. Tulsa has a great market for competitive fishing in general, especially bass fishing. The Bassmaster Classic a few years back had a huge turnout.

In the same complex I worked in from 2003 until 2012.  Not a bad place to be actually.
