Briefly, a notice was posted near the old Macy's store in the Promenade for input on the Oilers seeking a special exemption from the City of Tulsa Board of Adjustment.  If approved, Oiler owner Andy Scurto said that he wants to build out a practice facility for the team to replace where they currently practice, at the Oilers Ice Center at 64th and South Mingo. The city says this is allowed by a special exemption since it would be above 250-person capacity.  There was also mention of possibly a restaurant and a pro shop.

Scurto also mentioned the desire to move the team offices from its current location on E 46th Street just west of Mingo Rd.

Nice to have an owner more committed to the team than any of the previous owners.

Also, Scurto owns two women's professional league teams, both of which will be having an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at the BOK Center scheduled before the Oiler game.  The women's game will begin at 4:05pm.  The ECHL Oiler game will start after at 7:05.  Buying a ticket to the Oiler game gets you entry for the women's game as well.
