Tulsa Talks is a civic engagement organization dedicated to public education excellence. Recognizing that solutions are found by involving the whole community, Tulsa Talks provides a forum and dialogue process where Tulsans can come together in small groups to share ideas, identify solutions and motivate action to improve our schools.

Our mission is:  To promote community collaboration for improving public education
by enabling citizens of Tulsa from all walks of life to talk together,
solve problems together, and take action together.

Partners of Tulsa Talks include: Tulsa Public Schools, Union Public Schools, Tulsa Technology Center, OSU-Tulsa, Langston University-Tulsa, Tulsa Community College, OU-Tulsa, YWCA of Tulsa, and the City of Tulsa.

Already this year, we have trained 90 facilitators in the dialogue-to-action process, and completed Round 1 and Round 2 of Tulsa Talks with participation by nearly 300 Tulsans.  Results of these sessions have been distributed to all stakeholders and are already being reviewed for implementation.

Our goal for September is for 500 Tulsans to participate in Round 3 of Tulsa Talks. Everyone has a role to play to improve public education.  We need to hear from you.  Please register TODAY.

For meeting times and locations and to register, please contact Tulsa Talks at tulsatalks@osu-tulsa.okstate.edu or by phone at 594-8189.
