London was great and so was Paris

Barcelona and Brussels!!  We had a fabulous 4 week holiday, and now I'm fighting off jet lag.  It's terrible, I feel so out of it.

We spent 12 days in England (London mostly), 5 in Paris, 7 in Spain (Calella, at an all inclusive hotel near the beach), then 1 day in Barcelona, and 4 in Brussels.  

Europe was HOT!!  It bothered us because there was no a/c except for Spain (thank goodness the Spaniards have a/c on the trains and hotels, some shops etc). London tube was a nightmare with the heat, and so were the busses. All in all though we enjoyed our travels and were never mugged, sick or got into any accidents.

We didn't take out any travel insurance so it was quite a gamble and we also didn't plan the trip except for London...other than that, we had no idea where we were going next so we made arrangements with travel agents in London.  Might have paid too much, but the surprise factor was cool.  One week we were in London, and the next we were in Paris...the following in Spain and the last weekend (last one gone here) in Belgium.  Cool and awesome was what my kids kept saying all along[]
