Opposite Day or Our New Big Idea

It occurs to me that the experts brought in to show us the light merely exposed the light to a mirror. Oklahoma City put a river inside their downtown loop as something different to stimulate er..catalyze their city. Well we're told that we should put a downtown in the river. Very original. Not boring and small scale like those other guys. Or not?

The effect of not having acted quickly on river development by the last administration is that another group has jumped in to fill the void. The unintended consequences are that it will actually take longer to accomplish this new project because of the obvious lack of planning resulting in slow arriving details. Meanwhile the momentum for downtown may be blunted.
