I would like to propose an idea.  I'm an Asian, married to a fellow Tulsan man.
Wouldn't it be great to have like a World Festival other than the Octoberfest and The State Fair.
I've seen people from India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia to name a few of the Asians here that I've come across. Mostly Unis students from Norman or TU.
Plus I've made some friends who's from Ukraine and Russia not long time ago.  All have unique cultures and traditions.

Most Tulsan that I come across are not globally expose. I always get questions like is Singapore in China.. LOL!  Sorry to say that but it's true. Pure ignorance. I'm from Singapore and speaks good English. For goodness sake My mom-in-law, thinks that I speaks Mexican.  Some Americans or maybe Tulsan may have no idea where Singapore is! I've been to NYK couple of times and most of them knows where Singapore, Mumbai or Bali is.  So is New Yorkers are very well exposed?  I would say Yes!

So, overall, I just think it'll be great to have this World Festival in Tulsa.  What more excuses do you need to throw a festival. It'll be educational and fun to savour traditional foods (minus all the asian restaurant menus) and learn one cultural up close.
