Here is an event that happens every Satureday
at La Fortune Park. Armies gather on the field of battle and rage wars with padded weapons.
It can be great fun, but people 13-17 must have some sort of waiver I believe. They are also a non-profit organization, that researches history. Its a great stress releaser.

I have always wanted to go to one of those medieval fairs. I know they have one in Muskogee but I wish someone would have one in Tulsa.

That MELEE looks like a something for the young folk lol.  If we did that we would have to form our own "Order" perhaps call it the "Order of the wizened and bad backs, plus my right knee hurts on occasion, oh and my shoulder sprains easily too".[:P]  Come to think of it, I dont think there is enough padding in the world to get me to risk going out there. lol
"When you only have two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other."-Chinese proverb. "Arts a staple. Like bread or wine or a warm coat in winter. Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

Next time I see them at LaFortune Park, I'll go to the golf course and rent a cart and some clubs.

Let's see how their historic costumes stand up to a guy driving by and hitting them with a seven iron.
