Was anyone at the original Streakers Night at OSU in the spring of 1974?  Does anyone have pictures or know of anyone who does?

It was an unbelievable night...........

I wasn't there, but I remember all the talk.  I went to OSU as a freshman in the fall of 1975 (lived in Cordell Hall by the stadium), and they were still talking about Streakers Night then.  Wasn't that the event where they took down the big fiberglass bull from the Sirloin Stockade restaurant and pushed a naked streaker riding the bull down Washington Street?  I think that one made the Tulsa papers too.

Yes they took the bull to Theta Pond - and there was more than one streaker on board if I recall correctly.  There were many bodies at least!  I have never heard of anyone having pictures, but then again, you had to have them developed somewhere!

I am sure someone out there has snapshots stuck away in a shoebox.  I would love to see them too.  I was still a senior at Hale when that happened, but I certainly recall the streaker craze.  I remember watching the Academy Awards  on TV when the streaker ran across the stage behind David Niven.

I only went to OSU for 1 year, 1975-1976.  I think that was the year Eskimo Joes opened, but it was not a popular place to go yet.  I remember the most popular beer joints were the Jail and Pistol Patties.  I lived in rm 350, Cordell Hall.  Cordell is still there but is no longer a dorm, it was gutted and converted into office space I think.
