I was told that the woman who owns The Denver Grill was on the radio this morning complaining that her former location near the arena has never been utilized. She said the hotel is being sold and she will have to move the restaurant again.

Anyone know any details? That hotel sure needs a major renovation - they had to replace the elevators a few months back because they were dangerous.

It would be nice if a big hotel chain bought the property and upgraded it.

Isn't her former location a dirt pile with construction equipment on it right now?

That hotel needs sold & fixed. Even if a low-dolalr chain takes over, it can't do anything but improve. The big honking sign on the top has been blank for years. If you're not willing to even paint the sign, I can't imagine how much you skimp on the rest.

I parked under that hotel for about a year... the hotel lobby is OK.  Wondered around a couple times and again, it was OK.  The restaurant looked just fine, but I had no reason to go there really.  No one ever went for specials or anything (I worked in the Petroleum Club Tower for a year and OneOK a year before that).

The parking garage was some place that would do well to make a horror movie in.  Poorly lit, paint peeling, moist and general scary.

I find it funny that they have only three pictures on Expedia.com and none of them of the outside of the hotel. What they did use for the outside of the hotel is a photo of downtown that I am sure not one of their own and if I was the owner of the photo I would file suit over copyright.
