Well I am not a new member here, registered few months ago but never posted anything, just use to read. So finally I have decided to start participating in discussions...and I wanted to start from here.... hello everyone!!

David.

Hello back.

Glad you decided to jump in the conversations...

Since you registered a while back but took so long to post, you are not eligible to win one of our fabulous newcomer prizes. You probably didn't need the thousands of free lunches, hundreds of free local services, dozens of free powerball tickets or one of the new cars that we normally give out to newcomers.

There is one prize that you can still win...if you post more times than sgrizzle, you win our love and respect.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Heard of "The Biggest Loser" on TV?

It's like that, but you don't lose any weight.

Had to laugh when I read your sig line...

Reminded me of Billy Bob in School for Scoundrels, "How many of you losers own a self help book? You can't help yourself because yourself sucks!"

I am new but wanted to say hi and welcome.  This is my first day to post and register.  I was so glad to hear about this forum though the KJRH story last night.

RecycleMichael

Welcome, girl of drums.

Do you play drums locally? I have been considering drum lessons for my daughter and glad to know that women are in to drumming. We live close to Drummer's World. Are you familiar with them?
Power is nothing till you use it.

Shall I play for you, pa ramp pa pum pum.  The ox and lamb...

Sorry, I'm easily distracted.  Welcome Girl of Drums.  I look forward to seeing your input and apologize in advance for whatever transgressions I may commit.  [:P]

I'm from Iowa, not a ton of Natives in Iowa.

Chief is a not-uncommon term of endearment, as in "What's going on chief?"  Not that I use it frequently, but I guess sometimes it pops up.

My cousin wrestled in Iowa for Columbus High School in the state tournament, I bought a Columbus Wrestling T-Shirt from him for a fund raiser.

My friend Andrew was as near to 100% Huron as one could get (according to him).  He was active in native politics.  Spoke or at least took lessons in the language. And very much looked the part even.

Well, one day without thinking I approached him and said "Hey chief, whats up?"

He was wearing a "Got sovereignty?" T-****.

It was Columbus day.

I was sporting my new Columbus T-shirt.

He was not pleased.  Foot in mouth.

BUT!  Now I have someone I can call chief and not look like a jerk.  So welcome Chief!  I look forward to hearing your opinions.
