What to make of this spat?

Lose all your delegates to the national convention?

Which candidate would benefit most?

Personally, I think its stupid to be voting SOOOO early for candidates.  I'm from Iowa and currently live in a small state, so I may be biased; but I think some of the early small states have a nice niche.  Iowa in particular since it is a 50/50 type of state serves as an interesting battleground and a place where politicians can try things out.  No too mention, it is small enough that people can get some actual face time and candidates don't have to spend as much as they do to compete in California (allowing smaller candidates to perhaps build steam). Clearly no candidate is going to ignore California or Florida, no matter when their race is scheduled.

As for taking their delegates away, not my call.  That belongs to the DNC.  I view political parties like any other organization, as long as what they do is not discriminating on race, age, religion etc. its fair game.  Florida broke the rules knowing what the consequences could be... why should the federal government get involved with that clubs rules?  No federal voting rights are bing taken away - they are losing the right to chose who represents their club in a federal election.  But they can form another club, join a different one, or play by their clubs rules if they so desire.  I hate the fact that the government is so tied to political clubs anyway - funding them, deciding who can officially run for office, and even regulating their primaries?  Seriously, let 'em work it out.

As for who benefits, I would guess Obama.  Hillary's age bracket is more represented in Florida and they are not as interested in change (younger candidate, black man... probably more associated with change even if his platform is not such).

My friends/relatives in Iowa are already annoyed with campaign calls.  No DO NO CALL list for them.
