Learn how to turn your fall leaves into a nutrient rich soil additive when The Metropolitan Environmental Trust and the Linnaeus Gardeners host a composting seminar and contest November 10 at the Linnaeus Teaching Garden, 2435 S. Peoria.

KRMG radio host and horticulturist Allan Storjohann will host his weekend gardening show at the event and composting experts will discuss a variety of topics including bin construction, compost do’s and don’ts and worm composting. Enter your best compost in the compost contest and win prizes!

The event is 9 a.m. to noon. Compost entries are accepted until 11:30 a.m. and winners announced at noon. For more information call 584-0584.
