That is the truth.

Do you get jumped as soon as you walk in Beeline like Mathis Bros?  I know they gotta make a livin' but when like 6 salespeople annoy you in course of 15 min, forget it!

Yep, two or three of them were reaching for their fly when I walked in.

Boy they did not know who they were messing with did they....heh...

They fled when I got out a tube of KY.

At Mathis, the trick is to walk into the store with one of those blue invoice sheets you get from a prior purchase in view of everybody. Salesmen leave you alone, I think, because they think you are there to return something...Loss of commission risk

I always wanted to take a sales order from Mathis Brothers into Riverside Chevrolet and say: "Beat this" and see how quick they call Parkside...

Beeline had some nice signs out front.

Didn't stop, was enroute to College Station, Texas.

Research found that Kohl's sales prices are a lie. They list "retail" prices that they specify are made up. If a shirt costs $20 elsewhere, they sell it for 50% off of $50.

The trick to Mathis brothers is to walk to the left directly like you're going to customer service, maybe even point that way if a salesman makes eye contact. If you get past the front without a salesman, you're set.

Yup, they were straight from the furniture store "going out of business sale" mill.
